Easy Peasy Crockpot for the HCG Diet

 

It is so nice to throw things in the crock pot and come home to a delicious meal that has been slowly cooking all day!  I love that.  The crockpot is a wonderful tool to break out on the HCG Diet.  You can make soups, chicken breast, pot roast, etc all very quickly and easily.  You will also have delicious leftovers to use for the following couple of days. 

 

Crockpot Beef or Chicken for the HCG Diet

 

One of my all time favorite phase II HCG Diet meals is to place organic, free range chicken breast(s) in the crock pot and add a container or two of fresh salsa.  If you buy it at the store, be sure all ingredients are organic and that there is no added sugars.  I like to buy it as local and as clean and fresh as possible.  Place these two ingredients in the crockpot and put in on low.  I usually find that it is done in about 4-5 hours and it is delicious!  The chicken flakes apart and it is a nice comfort meal.  If you weigh your protein after when it is all cooked, you will want to shoot for the 2.8 ounce range.

 

With beef, you can get a nice lean cut of grass fed beef and place it in crockpot with about a cup of beef broth (low sodium, organic) and maybe a diced onion and celery.  Place the crockpot on low and cook 6 hours or so.  Again, it should flake apart when you are finished. If you weigh this in the cooked form it will be about 2.8 to 3 ounces per serving.

 

Crockpot soups for the HCG Diet

 

This is a wonderful way to get your veggies in!  Place any phase II HCG Diet friendly organic vegetables in the crockpot and add as many cups of water or vegetable broth (low sodium, organic).  I also like to spice mine up to taste.  Add in whatever spices you like -- every palate is different when it comes to spice!  When it is done, you can blend half of the soup to make it thick and creamy or enjoy it as is.  My favorite veggies for the soup are cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, asparagus, fennel, onions and celery!
