HCG Diet Transition Days between phase II and phase III

Transitioning the HCG Diet Phase II to Phase III

 

You did it ... almost.  You have come to your last day of injections on the HCG Diet phase II. Congratulations!  This is truly a huge accomplishment.  I bet you feel lighter, happier, proud and really healthy in your new body.  Now, there is a specific way that we ease into phase III of the HCG Diet program.  This is called the "Transition time."  There is a physiological reason for this phase of the program that we will discuss.  

 

The Purpose of the Transition Days on the HCG Diet

 

It takes a couple of days for the HCG to build up in your system to reach the level where fat turnover is stimulated ... so, it is going to take that long for the HCG to get out of your system as well before you can jump into a normal caloric intake as on phase III o the HCG Diet.  I have a friend who is a physician at a fertility clinic and when they give women large doses of HCG for fertility purposes (5,000 to 10,000 units) they find it takes 2 weeks to get the HCG out of the body. On the HCG Diet, you are injecting between 250 and 300 units and therefore we need just a couple of days to get the HCG out of the body.

 

How do you do the HCG Diet Transition Days?

 

On your last injection day of phase II you will just have a phase II day usual.  The next 2 days will be just like phase II HCG Diet days BUT you will not give yourself your injection. Remember, you are allowing the HCG to leave your system before jumping into phase III.  SO, 72 hours after your last injection, you will begin the phase III protocol.  The first 2 days or 48 hours after your last injection you will most likely feel just fine. The last 24 hours as the HCG decreases in your body, you may feel actual hunger. No problem. Just eat additional protein and veggies (no additional fruit) from the phase II HCG Diet food list until you are comfortable and move forward from there.
