Holiday Gatherings Can Work on the HCG Diet!

I actually encourage my HCG Diet patients to put themselves in social situations centered around food and put their will to the test.  Here are a few things to do before you head out:
  1. give yourself a pep talk and remind yourself of the goal you are trying to obtain and keep that in your minds eye.
  2. Eat before you go so that you do not arrive hungry
  3. Decide before you go to really be present with people and let the social interactions with friends "fill you up."
  4. Create a beautiful vegetable tray with all of the amazing vegetables you can have on phase 2 of the HCG Diet. Do not worry if you over do it in the vegetable department!
  5. Try this amazing appetizer to bring with you too!

HCG Diet Friendly Holiday Appetizer

Sweet and Sour Mini Meatballs
Ingredients:

  • 3.5 ounces lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • Pinch of garlic powder.
  • Pinch of onion powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Bragg’s liquid amino's
  • Stevia to taste

Putting this phase 2 HCG diet appetizer together:

Combine ground beef, minced garlic, onion and spices. In a small saucepan warm the lemon juice, Bragg’s liquid aminos and stevia to taste. Form small meatballs and add to the sauce. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
