Meal Planning and Soup preparation for the HCG Diet

Planning meals in advance is a great time saver and a wonderful way to encourage succses on the HCG Diet .  Having food ready to eat in "grab and go" containers in your fridge is a fabulous idea.  Many of our HCG Diet patients  report that meal planning is a ticket for success with the HCG Diet.  Soup making is a wonderful way to go!


Gathering and Preparing your HCG Diet Fall Soup

I have been making some delicious soups over the past month at home. The whole family LOVES them.  Hit your local supermarket and gather HCG Diet friendly soup vegetables for your soup.   ~ garlic, onions, bell pepper, asparagus,  mushrooms, chard, spinach, broccoli, kale, etc.  

For the base, you could purchase broth from Pacific foods that is low sodium and organic.  In my house, I make bone broth on occasion and keep it frozen for my soups.  I begin my soup prep by sauteeing garlic and onions in a small amount of broth in my stock pot (the pot I will use to make the soup). Then, I add the rest of the broth and get it warmed up in the stock pot.

As the soup begins to warm on the stove, I begin washing the vegetables and chopping them up into small pieces.  This can take some time. I like to admire the vegetables as I wash and chop them.  

Once the veggies are all chopped up,  you can throw them into your pot with some salt, pepper or any other spices you enjoy.  To cook the soup, I bring the broth to a boil and then let it simmer on low heat for an hour or two depending upon how crunchy or soft you like your vegetables.

Storing the Delicious HCG Diet Soup

Once the soup is all finished on the stove, you can get out your favorite glass containers. I like to store mine in mason jars that are the perfect size for a serving.   Pour the soup off into your containers.   I usually bring 2 jars with me to work each day and I love to have my soup heated up or cold from the fridge.

You can add in some HCG Diet friendly protein if you would like.
