The Bounty of HCG Diet Phase II Foods in the Summer


The summer is a fabulous time to take on the HCG Diet for so many reasons.  The warm weather makes us feel less hungry in general.  It is so easy to go out for walks, play around in the yard and simply to be more active.  Also, there are SO many fruits and vegetables available that are local and fresh and delightful.  I have been facilitating this program for years as a naturopathic physician and I love the benefits of the HCG Diet.  Actually, I choose to do the program every summer as a cleansing process and I am amazed at all of the delicious and fresh meals that I come up with.


Getting your HCG Diet Phase II Food as Local as Possible


This past round of the HCG Diet, I tried to get ALL of my food from local sources and it was really easy.  I got locally raised chicken breast, lean ground beef, lean buffalo and an assortment of lettuces, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions.

My lunches would consist of shredded grilled chicken breast with heirloom tomatoes, onions and cucumbers all mixed in a big bowl.  Delicious and fresh.  Dinner would be a nice beef or buffalo burger with a huge salad.  Fruit snacks were strawberries or the local gravenstein apples.  Lots of pure water and tea.  I love how I feel and how fresh and abundant all of the vegetables are in the summer.


Summer HCG Diet Phase II Snacks


It is always nice to have a couple of delicious snacks to pull out on the HCG Diet for those moments when you just need something!  A cucmber salad with lots of cut up fresh cucumbers tossed with some organic rice vinegar (no sugars or carbs) and a few stevia drops is a truly delightful HCG Diet snack.  Then there is my old stand by of very thinly sliced apples with cinnamon sprinkled on top.
