Crockpot Cooking on the HCG Diet Program


The good ole crock pot is a great tool to break out on the HCG Diet.

It is just so easy to throw things in the crock pot before you head off to work, turn it on

and then voila ... you have dinner waiting for you when you get home.  I always remind my HCG Diet

patients that creating crock pot meals once per week or more can add some flavor and variety to the HCG Diet Program.


Chicken in the Crockpot for the HCG Diet


Before you begin, be sure to weigh out your chicken breast into 3.5 ounce pieces.  Place the chicken breast in the crockpot -- generally, I will use 4 chicken breasts. Squeeze the juice of 2 limes over the chicken and sprinkle with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper and 1/3 cup chopped cilantro.    Begin by heating 2 tbsp of chicken in a skillet and saute one large  onion for 5 minutes. Add 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp coriander, 1 tbsp. chili powder, 1/4 tsp paprika and 4 minced cloves of garlic. Let this mix cook for 2 more minutes and then sit.  Add this mixture to the chicken in the crock pot.  Cook this HCG Diet dinner for 3-5 hours on low heat.  Once it is finished place chicken in a bowl and shred.  Then scrape out any mixture left in crockpot and mix in with the chicken.

You can also cook beef in the crockpot to make meals for the HCG Diet program. Get creative using your blender to make many different types of sauces. You can also use herbs and spices.  Get creative.  The HCG Diet does not have to be boring at all. Enjoy!!!
